- "San Juan y San Pedro"

- "Semana Santa"
Easter in Spain is very different than the USA. Here is another religious festivity: Easter commemorates the passion and death of Jesus Christ and is a celebration with centuries of history and tradition. The streets of the vast majority of Spain's cities, towns and villages become the stage for religious fervour and devotion, combining grief and meditation in memory of Christ's death. Music, art and colour come together in processions: solemn parades in which crowds of people accompany religious images on their route through the towns. Easter in León is one of the most beautiful of Spain.

Hello there, team. Happy Festival of Leon to you. Here is my first english lesson to you, or to anyone: a faculty is a group of teachers that work for the same school, or for part of the same school. Examples of "faculty" would be the professors at your school, or the professors in the math department. To refer to a place with a specific purpose, you use the word "facilities." I think that's the word you were looking for. The word "facilities" is also a polite way to refer to the bathroom. Have fun, and sleep a little!
¡Hola!
I'm going to talk in English for a little bit now. After reading several entries, I believe your English is good. You all succeed in painting a very nice picture with what you are writing. However, there is always room for improvement. The English word for "equinoccio" is equinox. There are also a few run-on sentences in the paragraph that can be rewritten more directly. For example, the last sentence in the first paragraph can be rewrriten as: Because it is the shortest night of the year, the young people of Leon stay in the streets and celebrate until the sunrise. I wish you all the best of luck with your blog!
Hi guys! I was living in Valencia in the summer of 2005 and went to a party at the beach for La Noche de San Juan. It was awesome. We jumped over a fire three times for good luck and jumped over 7 waves right before midnight. It was awesome! Do you guys have any similar traditions in León? I had so much fun living in Spain! You guys have an awesome country.
A quick question – what is the easiest way to visit León from Barcelona or Madrid? Is it easier to get there by car or train?
Thanks,
Greg
In answer to your question of how easily you could visit León from Barcelona or Madrid, the fastest way is by plane. There are direct flights from either of the two cities. In less than an hour you are in Leon. In fact, if you look at the flight in advance, you might even leave you very cheap.
if you go by trai or bus, it takes about seven or eight hours to get here.
